Minnesota Permit to Carry (USCCA Curriculum)

 This 4 hour course prepares individuals for safely carrying a  handgun in Minnesota. It combines classroom instruction with a live fire qualification, focusing on handgun handling, marksmanship, and defensive techniques. The course also covers conflict avoidance, legal aspects of using deadly force, and developing a personal protection plan.  

Retired LE (LEOSA) HR 218 Training

 This course covers the necessary information/qualification for retired law enforcement officers to carry nationwide. In this course you will receive all of your required paperwork and qualification card.

Basic and Advanced Handgun Courses

The basic course is four hours in duration and even the most experienced handgun shooter would benefit! Handgun fundamentals are broken down and explained in a very thorough way! Each fundamental is taught by isolation drills in a building block approach. This course also covers reloading and basic malfunction clearing.  Your handgun skills and fundamentals will improve. 


 The advanced course is four hours in duration and a continuation of the basic handgun course applying learned fundamentals in a variety of speed and accuracy drills. This course will challenge you and push you to your limits. Several drills are timed with movements along with multiple threat/target engagement s for the advanced handgun shooter. This course can be combined with the basic course for an eight hour day.  

Handgun RDS Operator course:

 This course is six hours in duration and covers fundamentals, zeroing, RDS parallax, optic stoppages, movements and barricade use along with challenging speed and accuracy drills to improve the handgun RDS shooter. Finding, Trusting, Tracking,  and Reducing dot movement will be accomplished for the shooter at the completion of this course.   

Handgun Academy

This is a 3 day, 24 hour academy with a focus on firearm fundamentals, weapon retention, types of reloads, properly addressing malfunctions, cover management, moving and shooting, threat assessment, combat shooting, low light shooting, and scenarios. Use of Force is included with an emphasis on how firearms fit in. Additional customizable firearms instruction is also offered.

Basic and Advanced Rifle Courses

 This basic course is four hours in duration and breaks down defensive rifle fundamentals very thoroughly with fine details to improve the defensive rifle shooter. Fundamentals are taught through isolation drills through the building block approach. Defensive Rifle manners and weapon flows/presentations are covered along with reloading and basic malfunction clearing. This course will improve even the experienced rifle shooter.  


 This advanced course is four hours in duration and a continuation of the basic rifle course. This course will challenge the defensive rifle shooter with timed drills focusing on speed and accuracy. This course will push you to your limits! Movements and multiple threats/target drills will be utilized. Transitions to the handgun and back to the rifle are covered.  Thorough malfunction clearing will also be covered with the defensive rifle.  This course can be combined with the basic rifle course for an eight hour day.   

Basic Shotgun Course

 This course is four hours in duration and breaks down the defensive shotgun fundamentals for even the most experienced shotgunner! Fundamentals are taught through isolation drills with a building block approach. Shotgun manners and weapon flows/presentations with the shotgun are covered.  Reloading and timed challenging drills are utilized to better the shooter. Transitions to the handgun and back to the shotgun are covered with basic malfunction clearing.     

Countering the Mass Shooter Threat (USCCA Curriculum)

 Reality says it all: this training class reveals data collected from 48 mass shootings, finding similarities along the way which will lead you to a conclusion that answers the question — what can be done to counter this threat? Once you've learned all you can from these historical events you'll begin to understand the importance of developing an Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), and the systematic forethought that goes into mass casualty preparation. 

Basic and Advanced Defensive Tactics/UOF Courses

Basic and Advanced Defensive Tactics equips students with knowledge in regards to the use of non-lethal/physical detain and control techniques as it relates to their organization’s use of force policy. This training includes but is not limited to, appropriate tactics for approaching and engaging with subjects, handcuffing from standing, kneeling, and prone, motion defense, escort holds, takedowns, strikes, takedown and ground defense, edge weapon defense, weapon retention/takeaways, and team techniques and tactics.

  

This  Use of Force training provides students with knowledge as it relates to the timely and effective application of appropriate force to establish and maintain lawful control of subjects. Some of the topics in this course include, the legal and moral obligations as it relates to proper application, UOF as it pertains specifically to MN State Statutes, UOF Justification, the physiological and psychological effects on the body during a UOF incident, an in-depth analysis of the organization’s UOF Policy/Continuum, and UOF scenarios as they relate to the organization’s Policy/Continuum

Chemical Aerosol Spray/Baton

This training provides students with knowledge in regards to deploying Subject Control Spray and the Expandable Baton. Topics such as where do these force options fall on the organization’s continuum, moral and legal considerations, proper and safe acquisition of force option, follow up and decontamination, interactive exercises, and scenarios.
